Valcastagno Relais is a Hotel Bed Breakfast located in Sirolo. It was realized in 2003, getting 8 rooms with services from the ancient farmhouse of Villa Virginia.
Valcastagno Relais gives you the opportunity of relaxing stay dipped in the uncontaminated nature of the Conero Regional Park, far only 3 kms from the towns of Numana and Sirolo, a few steps away from the sea but protected from the summer crowd.
The Relais was developed in accordance with local traditions, matching technologies with eco-compatible materials and keeping precious old materials from the ancient building, such as the ancient Conero's white stone.
In the Relais you can have a bed&breakfast service and, except for the summer weekend when the minimum stay is 2 nights, there is no restriction on the booking.
One of the most frequently asked questions by our guests is: "Is Valcastagno located in Numana or in Sirolo?". The simple fact is that our hotel is literally "at the border" between the towns of Numana and Sirolo.
Over the years we have tried in vain to bring the rooms all together under one single municipality but, you know, bureaucracy can be tough in Italy sometimes!
So we decided to emphasize this peculiarity by putting a plaque that marks (as a funny testimony) the boundary between Numana and Sirolo.
In the past the Hotel was a farmhouse, built around the 1930s, with the typical white stone retrieved from the Conero mountain. It was inhabited by tenant farmers, who managed the land property of the Marquis Alberto Nembrini Gonzaga, owner of the attached Villa Virginia. Brothers were born in this farmhouse. One of these came into the world in what was once their dining room, while another was born in the bedroom. Although they were both born in the same house, for the registry office one was born in Numana and the other in Sirolo.
This is why we have two addresses, on two different municipalities, but both leading to the same property
